Thursday’s nine-race program at Keeneland is highlighted by an interesting Pick 3 sequence that goes as races six, seven, and eight on the card. The sixth features a full field of maiden juvenile colts looking to graduate, the seventh is an entry-level allowance race on the grass and the eighth is a second-tier allowance affair to be contested at the tricky mile distance on the main track with its short run into the clubhouse turn.
The Green Sheet had a solid day on Wednesday’s card, giving out a pair of winners—Bellamy Torch ($5.40) and Untapped ($3)—in addition to a cold $17.80 exacta in the third on the day, a $61.60 trifecta in the fifth, and a $35.20 exacta in the seventh race.
For the meet to date, the Sheet is 22-for-111 with cold winners on top for a 20 percent strike rate.
