Friday’s featured ninth race at Churchill Downs—a $62,000/“non-winners-of-two-other-than” allowance heat going five furlongs on the Matt Winn turf course—drew a field of 10 colts and geldings three-years-old and upward.
The well-bred Giant’s Causeway colt Chiltern Street is the tepid 3-1 morning line favorite; he will be turning back in distance for trainer Wesley Ward and will break from post position seven.
Friday’s card also features a large $121,427 Single Six Jackpot carryover. The multi-race wager is offered on races five through 10 on the program.
The Green Sheet had a pair of winners on Thursday’s card at Churchill—Sugar Cube ($3) in the day’s opener and Royally Divine ($4) in the third race. The Sheet also gave out a $101.80 trifecta and a $97.10 superfecta in the seventh race on the day.
For the meet to date, The Green Sheet is 32-for-132 for a win clip of 24 percent.
