The final live racing week of 2016 at Churchill Downs kicks off on Wednesday, and the 10-race program is highlighted by the featured eighth race, a $62,500 “non-winners-of-two-other-than” allowance/optional claiming event going five-eighths of a mile on the Matt Winn turf course.
The seven-year-old veteran Partly Mocha is the 5-2 morning line favorite in the field of 10 colts and geldings three-years-old and upward, as he drops out of restricted stakes company at Charles Town and is a perfect one-for-one over the Matt Winn turf course.
The Green Sheet gave out two winners on Sunday’s program at Churchill—Untapped ($4.40) in the eighth race and Equation ($10.60) in the ninth, improving its record to 38-for-163 for the meet, a 23 percent win clip.
