The “Stars of Tomorrow II” theme showcases Saturday’s 12-race card at Churchill Downs, a program  devoted entirely to two-year-olds and highlighted by a pair of graded stakes races—the Golden Rod Stakes (G2) for juvenile fillies and the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) for two-year-olds—both to be contested at a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.

The 73rd running of the Golden Rod (G2) drew a field of 12 two-year-old fillies including 7-2 morning line favorite Daddys Lil Darling, winner of the Pocahontas Stakes (G2) in the mud under the Twin Spires on September 17 and, more recently, a troubled fourth in the Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) at Santa Anita on November 5.

The 90th running of the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (G2) is headlined by the undefeated McCraken, a son of Ghostzapper that won the Street Sense Stakes in his second career start on October 30 in Louisville.

For the 19th day, the Single 6 Jackpot will have a carryover, and the installation for Saturday’s card stands at $163,511. The multi-race wager will be offered on races seven through 12 on Saturday’s program.

The Green Sheet had a solid Black Friday at Churchill, giving out four winners – Restless Rambler ($3.20) in the second race, Bad Student ($5) in the third, Corinthian’s Glory ($6.60) in the fourth, and Finley’sluckycharm in the Dream Supreme Stakes. Additionally, the Sheet gave out a $20.30 cold Pick Three on races two, three, and four and a $101.20 trifecta in the eighth race on Friday’s program.

Going into the final two days of live racing in Louisville for 2016, The Green Sheet is 48-for-197, hitting at a 24 percent win clip.
