With several of the proposed stakes races on this week’s docket, specifically the Swale (G2) and the Forward Gal (G2) from Gulfstream Park in addition to the Withers (G3) from Aqueduct coming up chalky, I’ve honed in on a trio of races from South Florida that will offer more bang for the buck.
Holiday Stone looks live on paper at a price to upset Made You Look in the $100,000 Kitten’s Joy Stakes, Okinawa has a legitimate chance to wire the field in the $100,000 Sweetest Chant (G3) and will be the overlooked half of an uncoupled Chad Brown entry, and Talk Logistics will have his work cut out for him, but is capable of upsetting the towering favorite Classic Empire in the Lambholm South Holy Bull Stakes (G2).
Next Saturday, I’ll take a look at the $350,000 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap (G1) from South Florida and a trio of races from Tampa Bay Downs–the $150,000 Tampa Bay Stakes, the $150,000 Lambholm South Endeavour Stakes (G3), and the $250,000 Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3). Additionally, I’ll have bonus coverage of the $50,000 WEBN Stakes from Turfway Park.
On Sunday, I’ll analyze the $200,000 San Vicente Stakes (G2) for three-year-olds going seven furlongs on the main track in Arcadia, California.
