Preakness 142 Graded Line by The Green Sheet
Churchill Downs Full-Card Analysis: Friday, May 19, 2017
Friday’s featured eighth race at Churchill Downs is a competitive $62,000 optional claiming/second-level allowance affair for three-year-olds and upward going five-eighths on the Matt Winn Turf Course. The race drew a full field of 10 headlined by the tepid 7-2 morning line favorite Maniacal, who is graded stakes-placed on the dirt but will be making his turf debut in this affair for trainer Wesley Ward.
The Green Sheet touted three winners on Thursday’s eight-race program in Louisville in addition to giving out a pair of trifectas and superfectas, including a $160 tri and a $167 super in the third race on the card. 11 days into the meet, The Sheet is giving out FREE winners at a 21 percent clip with its’ top selection in each race finishing in the money 54 percent of time.
Post time at Churchill Downs for the first of nine races on the Friday, May 19th program is 12:45 P.M. Eastern. The card offers a carryover of $17,921 in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot and a $3,540 carryover in the $1 Super High 5.
