Editor’s Note: The track condition for this evening’s card at Churchill Downs as of 3:20 P.M. Eastern is “sloppy” and races six and eight have been taken off the turf. The analysis and selections for both these races have been revised in light of late scratches and the surface change. 

Churchill Downs Full-Card Analysis: Thursday, May 25, 2017

The live racing week at Churchill Downs resumes on May 25th with the third installment of the “Twilight Thursday” program, which has eight races in the offing and a later 5:00 P.M. Eastern post time.

The card is highlighted by an interesting two-year-old heat to jumpstart the proceedings, in addition to an entry-level allowance race on the turf in the sixth race and an “a other than” allowance at a seven-eighths trip on the main track in the featured eighth.

Thursday evening’s program also has a carryover of $37,964 in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot.

The Green Sheet had five winners on Sunday’s 10-race program in Louisville in addition to giving out a trifecta in the third race on the card and a superfecta in the fourth. 14 days into the meet, The Sheet is giving out FREE winners at a 25 percent clip with its’ top selection in each race finishing in the money 58 percent of time.
