Post Memorial Day live racing continues at Churchill Downs on June 1 with a traditional eight-race “Twilight Thursday” program. Post time for Thursday’s first race is 5:00 P.M. Eastern.
The featured seventh on the card is a $51,000 entry-level allowance event for three-year-olds and up to be run on the Matt Winn Turf Course. Jay Em Ess Stable’s Pontifical, a lightly-raced son of Gio Ponti, has been installed as the 3-1 morning line favorite in a well-matched field of nine that has been assembled for the mile and a sixteenth test.
The Green Sheet touted a pair of winners on Monday’s 11-race Memorial Day program in Louisville in addition to having three triple-digit superfectas, highlighted by a $749 hit in the nightcap. 19 days into the meet, The Sheet is giving out FREE winners at a 27 percent clip with its’ top selection in each race finishing in the money 61 percent of time.
