Churchill Downs Full-Card Analysis: Sunday, June 11, 2017

The featured ninth race on the Sunday, June 11 program at Churchill Downs is a $55,300 “a other than” allowance event for three-year-olds going eight-furlongs on the Matt Winn Turf Course.

Joel Politi’s Durango Dan has been installed as the 3-1 morning line favorite off a convincing win against open $50,000 claiming company on the opening g night of the meet. The well-bred son of Giant’s Causeway will make his first start off the claim for the high-percentage Tom Amoss barn this afternoon.

The Green Sheet had two wins, a pair of seconds and three thirds on Saturday’s 11-race program in Louisville. Additionally, The Sheet doped out a two superfectas on the card, including a $350 hit in the seventh, and had the $135 trifecta in the Old Forester Mint Julep Handicap (G3T). 26 days into the meet, The Sheet is giving out FREE winners at a 28 percent clip with its’ top selection in each race finishing in the money 62 percent of time.
