
Churchill Downs Full-Card Analysis: Saturday, June 17, 2017
With mojitos flowing and salsa music jamming, “Downs After Dark” returns to Churchill Downs on Saturday, June 17 with a South Beach inspired theme and an 11-race program replete with five stakes races highlighted by the $500,000 Stephen Foster Handicap (G1).
Churchill will also offer an all-stakes Pick 5 as part of its wagering menu on Saturday’s card, which which goes as races five through nine on the card and includes the $100,000 Matt Winn Handicap (G3), the $200,000 Wise Dan Stakes (G2T), the $200,000 Fleur De Lis Handicap (G2), the $500,000 Stephen Foster Handicap (G1), and the $100,000 Regret Stakes (G3T). The first leg of the all-stakes Pick 5 sequence has a post time of 8:03 P.M. Eastern.
The Green Sheet doped out a $282 superfecta in the first race on Friday’s program in Louisville and had a $120 trifecta in the third race on the card. 29 days into the meet, The Sheet is hitting at a 27 percent strike rate with its’ top selection in each race finishing in the money 63 percent of time.
Post time for the first of eleven races on the Saturday, June 17 program at Churchill Downs is 6:00 P.M. Eastern. The card has a 14-day carryover of $101,823 in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot.
