Churchill Downs Full-Card Downs Analysis: Friday, June 30, 2017
Churchill Downs will draw the curtain on its 2017 Spring Meeting on Friday, June 30 with the final “Downs After Dark” program featuring an 11-race card highlighted by a pair of stakes for the juveniles–the $100,000 Bashford Manor (G3) and the listed $100,000 Debutante Stakes– in addition to the $70,000 Kelly’s Landing Stakes going seven-furlongs on the main track for three-year-olds and upward.
The card features an 11-race program and offers a 23-day, $146,754 carryover in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot and a 1-day, $3,375 carryover in the $1 Super Hi-5. There is a mandatory payout for both wagers on the closing day of the meet. Post time for the first of 11 races is 6:00 P.M. Eastern.
The Green Sheet had one winner on Thursday’s nine-race program in Louisville but touted a $549 trifecta in the fourth race and a $245 tri in the nightcap. However, on the day, The Sheet had a negative 76 percent return on investment (ROI)* or a flat-bet loss of $1.51 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections on the program.
Going into the last day of the meet, The Sheet is winning at a 27 percent clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 62 percent of time.
