
Ellis Park Full-Card Analysis & Selections: Tuesday, July 4, 2017
The Tuesday, July 4 Independence Day program at Ellis Park has a nine races on the docket including the featured eighth, a $42,000 optional claiming/”money since” allowance event for three-year-olds and upward going eight-furlongs on the grass.
The Green Sheet had a pair of winners on Monday’s eight-race program in Henderson in addition to a pair of trifectas, including a $130.80 score in the third race on the card. On the day, however, The Sheet had a negative 35 percent return on investment (ROI)*, or a flat-bet loss of 70 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.
Three days into the meet, The Sheet is winning at a 23 percent clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 50 percent of time.
