
Ellis Park Full-Card Analysis: Friday, July 7, 2017
Live racing resumes at Ellis Park off a two-day respite on Friday, July 7 with an eight-race program in the offing highlighted by a competitive $15,000 optional claiming/$10,000 starter allowance affair in the second race, and a contentious $40,000 maiden allowance contest on the turf for two-year-old fillies in the featured seventh race on the card.
The Green Sheet gave out three winners on Tuesday’s nine-race Fourth of July program in Henderson in addition to a cold $63 late Pick 3. On the program, The Sheet had a positive 10 percent return on investment (ROI)*, or a flat-bet profit of 20 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.
Four days into the meet, The Sheet is winning at a 26 percent clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 54 percent of time. For the meet to date, however, The Sheet‘s ROI is negative 24 percent, or a flat-bet loss of 50 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top picks.
