Ellis Park Full-Card Analysis & Selections: Friday, July 14, 2017

The live racing week begins in earnest on Friday, July 14 at Ellis Park in Henderson, Kentucky with an eight-race program in the offing highlighted by the featured seventh on the card, a competitive $40,000 optional claiming/”money since” allowance event going eight furlongs on the main track.

The Green Sheet doped out four winners on Sunday’s nine-race program in Henderson in addition to giving out a $227 trifecta in the eighth race on the card. On the day, The Sheet had a positive 39 percent return on investment (ROI)*, or a flat-bet profit of 78 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.

Seven days into the meet, The Sheet is winning at a 31 percent clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 62 percent of time. For the meet to date, the ROI is negative 1%, or a flat bet loss of 19 cents for every two dollars wagered on the top pick.
