
Ellis Park Full-Card Analysis & Selections: Friday, July 21, 2017
Live racing returns to the Tri-State area on Friday, July 21 with a traditional eight-race program on the docket at Ellis Park in Henderson, Ky. The card offers a $10,041 carryover in the Pick 5 and has a pair of intriguing maiden races–one for juveniles and one for three-year-olds–in addition to a competitive turf sprint to be run under allowance conditions in the offing.
The Green Sheet gave out a pair winners on Sunday’s nine-race program at “The Pea Patch” in addition to a $132 trifecta in the sixth race on the card. For the meet to date, however, The Sheet has a negative 17 percent return on investment (ROI)*, or a flat-bet loss of 33 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.
10 days into the summer stand at Ellis Park, The Sheet is winning at a 30 percent clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 60 percent of time.
