Saturday’s nine-race program at Ellis Park in Henderson, Ky. offers a $26,463 carryover in the Pick 5 and the card features the $50,000 Don Bernhardt Stakes for three-year-olds and upward going six and half-furlongs on the main track.
Chris Wilkins’s Wilbo has been installed as the 2-1 favorite in a well-matched field of nine, but the chestnut son of Candy Ride (Arg), who is coming off a second-pace finish behind Limousine Liberal in the Aristides Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs, figures to get a stiff challenge from Harold Lerner LLC’s The Truth Or Else, who has a stakes win already to his credit in 2017.
