
Ellis Park Full-Card Analysis & Selections: Sunday, July 23, 2017
Inclement overnight weather in the Tri-State area forced four of turf races carded on the Sunday, July 23 program at Ellis Park off the grass, but the nine-race card features some interesting wagering opportunities nonetheless highlighted by the featured eighth, a $40,000 maiden allowance affair for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward going eight-furlongs on the main track.
The Green Sheet gave out three winners on Saturday’s nine-race card at “The Pea Patch” in addition to a cold $51 exacta in the fifth on the program. 12 days into the summer stand in Henderson, Ky., The Sheet is hitting at a 28 percent strike rate–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 62 percent of time.
