Saratoga Selections By Frank Lyons: Wednesday, July 26, 2017
The Green Sheet has expanded its handicapping coverage this summer, as Frank Lyons–Breeder’s Cup winning trainer and former on-air personality with Television Games Network (TVG)–has signed on to give his selections for the 2017 meet at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.

In addition to a multi-year stint as a host and racing analyst on TVG, Lyons saddled 1995 Breeder’s Cup Sprint (G1) winner Desert Stormer. He also bought and campaigned Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Castledale. He’s currently a bloodstock agent and the host of a weekly radio show in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Wednesday, July 26 program at Saratoga has 10 races on the agenda highlighted by the $200,000 Honorable Miss Handicap (G2) for fillies and mares three-years-old and up going six furlongs on the main track. Additionally, the first race on the day features the $75,000 Jonathan Kiser Novice Stakes–the first steeplechase race of the meet–for four-year-olds and upward going two miles and a sixteenth on the grass over hurdles.
Frankie had a solid day at The Spa on Monday, July 24, giving out three winners on the nine-race program with a positive 21 percent return on investment (ROI*) on the card.
He will be giving out his picks FREE of charge for the duration of the Saratoga meet. Click HERE to see who he likes on Wednesday!
*Return on investment is calculated by placing a hypothetical $2 win wager on all top selections and dividing the net profit by the total amount wagered.
