Ellis Park Selections: Saturday, July 29, 2017
A nine-race program is on the docket at Ellis Park on Saturday, July 29 including the featured eighth race, a $41,000 entry-level allowance event going a flat mile on the main track.
The race drew a full-field of 12 entrants led by 3-1 morning line favorite Gettysburg, who served as the “rabbit” for stablemate Creator in last year’s Belmont Stakes (G1).
The program also offers a $8,909 carryover in the Pick 5 and a $1,851 carryover in the Super High 5.
The Green Sheet gave out a $114 trifecta in the fourth race on Friday’s card in Henderson, Ky. in addition to a $185 tri in the nightcap. 14 days into the summer stand at “The Pea Patch”, The Sheet is hitting at a 24 percent win clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 60 percent of time.
Due to time constraints, I will only provide selections and comments for today’s program at Ellis Park. My full-card analysis will resume with Sunday’s card.
