Saratoga Selections By Frank Lyons: Saturday, July 29, 2017

The Green Sheet has expanded its handicapping coverage this summer, as Frank Lyons–Breeder’s Cup winning trainer and former on-air personality with Television Games Network (TVG)–has signed on to give his selections for the 2017 meet at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.

In addition to a multi-year stint as a host and racing analyst on TVG, Lyons saddled 1995 Breeder’s Cup Sprint (G1) winner Desert Stormer. He also bought and campaigned Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Castledale. He’s currently a bloodstock agent and the host of a weekly radio show in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Saturday, July 29 program at Saratoga has 11 races on the agenda including four black type affairs–the $200,000 Amsterdam Stakes (G2), the $350,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (G1), the $250,000 Bowling Green Handicap (G2T), and the $600,000 Jim Dandy Stakes (G2) Presented by NYRA Bets.

Frankie gave out four winners on Friday’s 10-race program at The Spa and had a positive 29 percent return on investment (ROI*) on the card, or a flat-bet profit of 58 cents for each $2 wagered on his top selections. He will be giving out his picks FREE of charge for the duration of Saratoga’s 2017 summer stand. Click HERE to see who he likes on Saturday’s card!

*Return on investment is calculated by placing a hypothetical $2 win wager on all top selections and dividing the net profit by the total amount wagered.
