Saratoga Selections By Frank Lyons: Sunday, August 6, 2017
The Green Sheet has expanded its handicapping coverage this summer, as Frank Lyons–Breeder’s Cup winning trainer and former on-air personality with Television Games Network (TVG)–has signed on to give his selections for the 2017 meet at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.

In addition to a multi-year stint as a host and racing analyst on TVG, Lyons saddled 1995 Breeder’s Cup Sprint (G1) winner Desert Stormer. He also bought and campaigned Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Castledale. He’s currently a bloodstock agent and the host of a weekly radio show in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Sunday, August 6 program at Saratoga has 11 races in the offing including a pair of stakes races–the $100,000 Alydar Stakes for four-year-olds and up going a mile and and eighth on the dirt, and the $250,000 Troy Handicap for three-year-olds and up to be contested at a five and a half-furlong trip on the Mellon Turf Course.
Frank touted three winners on Saturday at The Spa including Estrechada(Arg), who won yesterday’s Waya Stakes (G3T) and paid $20. On the day, he had a positive 23 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 46 cents for each $2 wagered on his top selections. He will be giving out his picks FREE of charge for the duration of Saratoga’s 2017 summer meet. Click HERE to see who he likes on Sunday!

*Return on investment is calculated by placing a hypothetical $2 win wager on all top selections and dividing the net profit by the total amount wagered.
