Ellis Park Full-Card Analysis & Selections By John Gaver: Saturday, August 12, 2017

Saturday’s program at Ellis Park has nine races on tap including three $40,000 maiden allowance contests–a pair for two-year-old fillies sprinting on the dirt, and one for fillies and mares three-years-old and up going five and a half-furlongs on the turf.

The Green Sheet gave out four winners and a pair of trifectas on Friday’s eight-race program at Ellis and finished the day with a positive 50 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of $1 for every $2 wagered on its top picks. 20 days into the summer stand at “The Pea Patch”, The Sheet is hitting at a 28 percent win clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 70 percent of time.

*Return on investment is calculated by placing a hypothetical $2 win wager on all top selections and dividing the net profit by the total amount wagered.
