The weekend at Ellis Park in Henderson, Ky. continues with a nine-race program on the docket for Saturday, August 19. The card has a competitive $43,000 non-classified allowance race as the fourth race on the day, in addition to a contentious $40,000 optional claiming/money-since allowance event as the featured eighth on the card.
Saturday’s program also offers a $16,748 carryover in the $2 Pick 5 and a $1,610 carryover in the $1 Super High-Five.
The Green Sheet gave out three trifectas, including a $127 score in the fourth race on Friday’s eight-race program at Ellis Park, in addition to a $158 superfecta–also in the fourth race–and a $205 exacta in the eighth race. 23 days into the summer stand at “The Pea Patch”, The Sheet is hitting at a 26 percent win clip–its top selection in each race has finished in the money 66 percent of time.
