Ellis Park Selections By John Gaver III: Monday, September 4, 2017

Ellis Park will close out its 2017 meet with a special Labor Day program on Monday, September 4.

The Henderson, Ky. oval has a nine-race card on the docket including the featured eighth–a $41,000 entry-level allowance event for fillies and mares three-years-old and up going a flat mile trip on the main track.

The Green Sheet gave out a pair of winners on the September 3 program at Ellis Park in addition to four trifectas, including a $181 hit in the fourth, and three superfectas, highlighted by a $116 score in the third race. Going into the closing day of the summer stand at “The Pea Patch”, The Sheet is hitting at a 27 percent win clip; its top selection in each race has finished in the money 66 percent of time.
