An 11-race program choc-full of two-year-old heats is on the docket on Saturday, September 16 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., highlighted by four black type affairs–the $100,000 Locust Grove Stakes (G3), the $100,000 Open Mind Stakes (Listed), the $150,000 Iroquois Stakes (G3), and the $200,000 Pocahontas Stakes (G2).

Churchill will play host to live Thoroughbred racing over three weekends in September and October through Sunday, October 1 with racing on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Post time is 12:45 P.M. daily (Eastern) with the exception of a pair of 5:00 P.M. “Twilight Thursday” programs and a 6:00 P.M. first post on Saturday, September 23.
The Green Sheet gave out four winners on Friday’s 10-race program at Churchill and had a $105 trifecta in the eighth race on the card. On the day, The Sheet had a positive 45 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 90 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.
