Churchill Downs Selections by John M. Gaver III: Sunday, October 29, 2017
The first of two “Stars of Tomorrow” programs will jump start the 21-day Fall Meet at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. on Sunday, October 29. The 11-race program, which features races for two-year-olds exclusively, is highlighted by four black type affairs for the juveniles–the $200,000 Spendthrift Juvenile Stallion Stakes, the $80,000 Rags to Riches Stakes, the $200,000 Spendthrift Juvenile Filly Stallion Stakes, and the $80,000 Street Sense Stakes.

For the 2017 Churchill Downs September Meet, The Green Sheet went 34-for-109 for a 31 percent strike rate and had a positive 17 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 33 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections. At the stand, The Sheet‘s picks finished in the money 54 percent of the time.
At the recently concluded Keeneland Fall Meet, The Sheet hit at an 18 percent win clip; its top selections finished in the money 55 percent of the time.
