Churchill Downs Selections by John M. Gaver III: Wednesday, November 8, 2017
A five-day live racing week at Churchill Downs begins on Wednesday, November 8 with a 10-race program on tap highlighted by the featured ninth on the card, a $65,000 high-end optional claiming/second-tier allowance race for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward.
The race was slated for a mile and three-eighths trip on the Matt Winn Turf Course, but has been taken off the grass and will be run at the same distance over a “fast” main track.
The program also has a five-day, $36,526 carryover in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot.

The Green Sheet gave out four winners on Sunday’s 10-race program at Churchill and, on the day, had a positive 55 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of $1.10 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.
Six days day into the 2017 November stand in Louisville, The Sheet is hitting at a 25 percent strike rate; its top selections have finished in the money 57 percent of the time.

*Return on investment is calculated by placing a hypothetical $2 win wager on all top selections and dividing the net profit by the total amount wagered.
