Week three of the 2017-18 Championship Meet at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. commences in earnest on Wednesday, December 20 with a 10-race program on the agenda.
The card features a quintet of allowance/optional claiming affairs including the fourth on the program, in which the Maclean’s Music colt Classic Rock, who annexed the restricted $75,000 Roar Stakes by open lengths at Gulfstream back in July, will make his return to the races.
Additionally, the program has a seven-day, $167,193 carryover in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 Jackpot (races 5-10).
The Green Sheet had five winners on Sunday’s 11-race program at Gulfstream, nailed down a pair of Pick 3’s, and touted a $171 trifecta for a $1 wager in the seventh on the card. On the day, The Sheet had a positive 149 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of $2.98 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.
