Gulfstream Park Selections by John M. Gaver III: Thursday, January 18, 2018

10-races are on the docket at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. on Thursday, January 18. The featured fourth on the program is a $75,000 optional claiming/classified allowance event for four-year-olds and upward. The six-furlong affair carries a purse of $53,000 and marks the return of 2017 Rebel Stakes (G2) winner Malagacy, who will make his four-year-old debut off a nine-month plus layoff for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Additionally, the program has a lucrative $2,424,348 carryover in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 Jackpot (races 5-10).

The Green Sheet had four winners on Wednesday’s 10-race program at Gulfstream and–on the day–had a positive 60 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of $1.20 for each two dollars wagered on its top selections.
