Adverse, snowy Spring conditions may put a damper on the action at Keeneland Race Course on Saturday, April 7, but Mother Nature won’t be able to thwart an 11-race, black-type laden program highlighted by the 94th running of the $1,000,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G2), for three-year-olds going a nine-furlong trip on what is anticipated to be a “muddy” racetrack.
Steam gave out four winners on Friday’s 10-race opening day program at Keeneland and, on the day, had a positive 6 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 12 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections on the card.
One day into the nascent Spring stand in Lexington, Steam is hitting at a 40 percent win clip; its top selections have finished in the money 60 percent of the time.
