Steam ChurchillChurchill Downs will draw the proverbial curtain on yet another week of live Thoroughbred racing in Louisville, Ky. on Sunday, May 20.

The featured second on the 10-race program is a $100,000 optional claiming/classified allowance affair for three-year-olds and upward going eight and one half-furlongs on the main track.

DARRS Inc.’s multiple graded stakes winner Honorable Duty will make his six-year-old debut for trainer Brendan Walsh as the 2-1 morning line favorite in the compact field of five. The bay son of Distorted Humor was a three-time graded stakes winner in 2017, the most recent of which coming in the Lukas Classic Stakes (G3) last September under the Twin Spires. Jockey Corey Lanerie has the call.

Additionally, the card has a $442,974 carryover in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot (races 5-10) and a $2,389 carryover in the $1 Super High-5.

Steam touted two winners on Saturday’s 11-race program at Churchill Downs and gave out 11 winners from 14 races on Saturday’s Preakness Day Program at Pimlico for a win percentage of 79 percent and an in the money strike rate of 93 percent. Furthermore, Steam had a positive 74 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of $1.47 for each two dollars wagered on its top selections on Pimlico’s Saturday card.

13 days into the 2018 Spring Meet at Churchill Downs, Steam is hitting at a 25 percent win clip; its top selections have finished in the money 59 percent of the time.
