The fourth “Twilight Thursday” of the 2018 Spring Meet at Churchill Downs will jump start a week of live Thoroughbred racing in Louisville, Ky. on May 31.
The eight-race program has a later than normal first post of 5:00 P.M. (Eastern).
The featured eighth race on the card is a $62,500 optional claiming/second-level allowance heat for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward slated for an eight-furlong trip on the Matt Winn Turf Course.
LNJ Foxwoods’ Sensitive, third in the $74,000 Pago Hop Stakes at Fair Grounds last December for trainer Brad Cox, is the 3-1 morning line favorite in a field of 10 that also includes a pair of main track only entrants.
Additionally, the card has a $672,486 carryover in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot (races 3-8), a wager that carries a 15 percent takeout rate.
19 days into the 2018 Spring Meet in Louisville, Steam is giving out winners at a 23 percent strike rate; its top selections have finished in the money 59 percent of the time.
