Rain Forces Races Off The Turf On Friday’s Card

The featured eighth on the program is a $80,000 optional claiming, third-tier allowance event for three-year-olds and upward. The race has been taken off the turf due to overnight rains and will be contested at an eight and one half-furlong trip on the main track.
Brad Grady’s Phat Man, a stakes winner on dirt, is the 5-2 morning line favorite in a field that was scratched down to eight entrants. Adam Beschizza will be astride the son of Munnings for trainer Joe Sharp.
