Commonwealth Turf Highlights Saturday Card
An 11-race program is on the agenda at Churchill Downs on Saturday, November 10, as the 2018 fall meeting at the venerable Louisville, Ky. racetrack steams ahead amidst crisp conditions, as local temperatures are anticipated to be in the upper 30 degree range.
The featured tenth race on the program is the $100,000 Commonwealth Turf Stakes (G3T) for three-year-olds going eight and one half-furlongs on the Matt Winn Turf Course.
Woodford Racing, LLC’s Hot Springs, a comfortable one-length winner of the $100,000 Jefferson Cup Stakes under the Twin Spires on September 29, is the 2-1 morning line selection in a compact, albeit competitive, field of seven. Jockey Ricardo Santana, Jr. will be back aboard the bay son of Uncle Mo for Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen.
