A 10-race Veterans Day program will put the finishing touches on another week of live Thoroughbred racing at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. on Sunday, November 11.
By showing a valid military I. D., active members or veterans of the military will receive free general admission or a discounted ticket ($29) to the Millionaires Row dining room.
The featured ninth race on the card is an $80,000 optional claiming, third-tier allowance test for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward going eight-furlongs on the Matt Winn Turf Course.
John D. Gunther and Eurowest Bloodstock Services’ New York raider Take These Chains (Ire), a winner of three-of-four races, is the 3-1 morning line selection in the field of 10. Florent Geroux will be astride the five-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock (Ire) for trainer Brad Cox.
Steam Touts Two Winners On Saturday’s Card
Steam touted two winners on Saturday’s 11-race program at Churchill Downs and, consequently, 10 days into the 2018 fall stand, its top picks are hitting at a 24 percent strike rate and have finished in the money 57 percent of the time.
