Eleven Races On Tap On Sunday’s Program
Gulfstream Park closes out the live Thoroughbred racing week in South Florida on Sunday, December 16 with an expansive 11-race program on tap at the Hallandale Beach, Fla. racetrack.
The featured ninth race on the card is a $62,500 optional claiming, second-tier allowance affair for three-year-olds and upward that has been taken off the turf and will be contested at an eight-furlong trip around one-turn on the main track.
The dirt test was scratched down to a compact field of five. JSM Equine, LLC’s Uncle Mojo, an Uncle Mo colt trained by Todd Pletcher; e Five Racing Thoroughbreds’ Local Hero, who is stakes-placed in the slop in Hallandale Beach, Fla.; and Live Oak Plantation’s Souper Tapit, a stakes winner over a synthetic surface at Woodbine, will vie for favoritism.
