An excellent 12-race program is on tap at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. on Saturday, January 26–Pegasus World Cup Day at the historic South Florida racetrack.

The expansive program has nine stakes races on the docket featuring the $16 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series–the $9 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1)–North America’s richest race– for three-year-olds and upward slated for a nine-furlong trip on the main track, and the inaugural $7 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1T)–North America’s richest turf race–for three-year-olds an upward going  a mile and three-sixteenths on the grass.

Hronis Racing, LLC’s Accelerate, who will be making the final start of his career, is the 9-5 morning line favorite for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1); jockey Joel Rosario, who has guided the chestnut son of Lookin At Lucky to victory in his last three starts, has the call for trainer John Sadler.

In the Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1T), WinStar Farm, China Horse Club International, Ltd., Starlight Racing, and Head of Plains Partners, LLC’s Yoshida (Jpn) has been installed as the 5-2 morning line choice for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott. Jockey Jose Ortiz, Jr. will be astride the bay son of Heart’s Cry (Jpn) in the two-turn turf test.

Steam Gives Out Three Winners On Friday

UPDATEDGulfstream.Pegasus.2019Steam gave out three winners on Friday’s 11-race program at Gulfstream Park and, as a result, 42 days into the 2018-19 Championship Meet in South Florida, its top picks are winning at 27 percent clip and have finished in the money 57 percent of the time.

Post time for the first of 12 races at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, January 26 is 11:30 A.M. (Eastern). Additionally, there are lucrative guaranteed pools in the Late Pick 4 (races 9-12, 3:38 P.M. (Eastern) post), the Late Pick 5 (races 8-12, 3:05 P.M. (Eastern) post), and the Rainbow 6 (races 7-12, 2:33 P.M. (Eastern) post).

The pool for the Late Pick 4 will be guaranteed at $1 million, while the Late Pick 5 and the Rainbow 6 will offer guaranteed pools of $750,000.
