A pair of allowance races for three-year-old fillies are in the spotlight on Thursday, January 31 at Gulfstream Park, as the live Thoroughbred racing week continues in South Florida with an 11-program on tap in Hallandale Beach.

The seventh race on the card is a $75,000 optional claiming/first-tier allowance event for three-year-old fillies going an eight-furlong trip around one-turn on the main track, and the ninth race on the program, which carries the same conditions, is slated for a five-panel trip on the turf.

In the seventh race, Kingsport Farm’s Queen of Beas, who broke her maiden impressively at Gulfstream Park on January 6, is the 9-5 morning line choice in the field of seven; jockey Jose Ortiz, Jr. is back for a return engagement on the daughter of Flatter for trainer Jorge Abreu.

In the ninth, GV21 Entertainment, LLC’s Lady Magica has been installed as the 3-1 morning line choice in the field of eight turf sprinters; Emisael Jaramillo will be astride the daughter of Adios Charlie for trainer Gilberto Zerpa.
