A 12-race program replete with two stakes races and a mandatory payout in the Rainbow 6 wager are part of a busy agenda at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. on Saturday, February 9.

The $150,000 Suwannee River Stakes (G3T) for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward going nine-furlongs on the turf, and the $100,000 El Prado Stakes for four-year-olds and upward slated for a seven and one half-furlong trip on the grass, are the highlights on the card.

Madaket Stables, LLC, Tom Coleman, Team Hanley, and Norton Herrick’s Rymska (Fr), a multiple Grade 3 stakes winner on turf, will kick off her five-year-old campaign when she goes postward as a heavy favorite in the Suwannee River Stakes (G3T). Jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. will be astride the daughter of La Havre (Ire) for trainer Chad Brown.

In the El Prado Stakes, Three Diamonds Farm’s Hembree, a graded stakes winner on grass, is the tepid 7-2 morning line choice in a competitive field of 12. Jose Ortiz, Jr. has the call on the five-year-old son of Proud Citizen for trainer Mike Maker.
