Seven To Go Postward In Off The Turf Feature
A five-day week of live Thoroughbred racing begins in South Florida on Wednesday, March 20 with a 10-race program on tap at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach.
The featured fifth race on the card is a $25,000 optional claiming/entry-level allowance event for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward. Originally slated for a five-furlong trip on the grass, the race has been taken off the turf and will be contested on the main track.
Thoroughbred Acquisition Group, Inc.’s Violent Times, a three-year-old daughter of Violence, is the 3-1 morning line choice in a field that was scratched down to six entrants. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione has the call for trainer Ralph Nicks.
