Eight-Race Card Kicks Off Live Racing Week
Keeneland Race Course kicks off the first full week of its 2019 Spring Meeting on Wednesday, April 10 with a customary eight-race program on the docket.
The featured seventh race on the card is a $87,000 non-classified allowance affair for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward slated for a flat mile trip on the Haggin Turf Course.
Stuart S. Janney, III’s In the Lee, a winner of fifty percent of her turf starts lifetime, is the 2-1 selection in the field of nine on Keeneland oddsmaker Mike Battaglia’s morning line. Jockey Jose Ortiz, Jr. will be astride the five-year-old chestnut daughter of Tapit for Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey.
