Keeneland Race Course begins a weekend of live Thoroughbred action in Lexington, Ky. on Friday, April 12 with an excellent 10-race card on the docket.

A pair of stakes races–the inaugural running of the $100,000 Limestone Turf Sprint Stakes for three-year-old fillies sprinting five and one half-furlongs on the grass, and the $300,000 Maker’s 46 Mile (G1T) for four-year-olds and upward slated for an eight-furlong trip on the Haggin Turf Course–are the highlights on the program.

Hat Creek Racing’s Chelsea Cloisters, who is multiple stakes-placed on the turf, is the 3-1 morning line favorite in the Limestone Turf Sprint, which attracted a full field of 12. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione has the call on the daughter of First Samurai for trainer Wesley Ward.

In the Grade 1 Maker’s 46 Mile, Peter Brant’s Raging Bull (Fr), a winner of five-of-seven lifetime starts, is the 3-1 morning line choice in the field of seven. Joel Rosario will be aboard the bay son of Dark Angel (Ire) for trainer Chad Brown.

4 Wins, +21% ROI On Thursday’s Keeneland Card

Steam gave out four winners on Thursday’s nine-race program at Keeneland and, as a result, had a positive 21 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 42 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections on the card.

Six days into the 2019 Spring Meet in Central Kentucky, Steam‘s top picks are winning at a 38 percent clip and have finished in the money 75 percent of the time.

Post time for the first of 10 races at Keeneland Race Course on Friday, April 12 is 1:05 P.M. (Eastern). Additionally, there is a guaranteed pool of $200,000 Presented by TVG in the 50-cent late Pick 4 (races 7-10, 4:24 P.M. (Eastern) post), and a $30,108 carryover in the one dollar Pick 6 (races 5-10, 3:18 P.M. (Eastern) post.
