Churchill Downs closes out its 2019 September meeting on Sunday, September 29 with a customary 10-race program on tap in Louisville, Ky.

The third race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $62,500 optional claiming, “two other than” allowance event for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward sprinting six-furlongs on the main track.

Paul Van Doren’s Sterling Miss, who is a perfect two-for-two on dirt under the Twin Spires, is the 5-2 morning line choice in field that attracted eight entrants. James Graham will be astride the four-year-old chestnut daughter of Mutadda for trainer Tom Amoss.

$71,685 Late Pick Five Carryover On Closing Day

Post time for the first of 10 races on the Sunday, September 29 program in Louisville, Ky. is 12:45 P.M. (Eastern). Additionally, there is a mandatory payout in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot (races 5-10, 2:45 P.M. (Eastern) post), a $71,685 carryover in the 50-cent late Pick 5 (races 6-10, 3:16 P.M.
