High Promise Formidable In Friday’s Feature

A 10-race program is on tap at Keeneland Race Course on Friday, October 25–the penultimate day of the 2019 Fall Meet at the venerable Central Kentucky racetrack.

The featured tenth race on the card is a $75,000 “two other than” allowance event for three-year-olds and upward that is slated for a nine-furlong trip on the Haggin Turf Course.

Susan and Jim Hill’s High Promise is the 3-1 morning line favorite in a full field of 12 entrants. The five-year-old gray son of Broken Vow is coming off a second-place finish on the grass at Churchill Downs back on September 21. Jockey Julien Leparoux has the call for trainer Brian Lynch.

Two Winners, $2.51 ROI On Thursday’s Card

Steam gave out two winners on Thursday’s nine-race program at Keeneland and, as a result, had a positive 26 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 51 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections on the card.

With two days remaining at the 2019 fall meet at Keeneland, Steam’s top selections are winning at a 23 percent clip and have finished in the money 55 percent of the time.

Post time for the first of 10 races on the Friday, October 25 program in Lexington, Ky. is 1:05 P.M. (Eastern). Additionally, there is a $2,544 carryover in the $1 Super Hi-5.
