Cool Beans Back Off Shelf In Friday’s Feature

A 10-race program is on tap at Churchill Downs on Friday, November 15, as the venerable Louisville, Ky. racetrack plays host to a weekend of live Thoroughbred racing.
The sixth race on the card–the nominal feature–is an $80,000 optional claiming, “three other than” allowance event for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward going eight-furlongs on the Matt Winn Turf Course.
Magic Cap Stables’ Cool Beans is the 2-1 morning line choice in a field that attracted eight entrants. The four-year-old daughter of Candy Ride (Arg) is coming off a seventh-place finish in a Grade 3 stakes at Kentucky Downs back on September 7. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione has the call for trainer Brad Cox.
Six Pack Of Wins, $4.20 ROI On Thursday’s Card
Steam gave out six winners on Thursday’s 10-race program at Churchill Downs and, as a result, had a positive 110 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of $2.20 for each two dollars wagered on its top selections on the card.
12 days into the 2019 fall meet in South Louisville, Steam‘s top picks are winning at a 25 percent clip and have finished in the money 57 percent of the time at the stand.
Furthermore, on Friday’s card, there is a $56,432 carryover in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot (races 5-10, 3:03 P.M. (Eastern) post).
