A customary 10-race program is on the agenda  at Churchill Downs on Sunday, November 17, as the venerable South Louisville, Ky. racetrack closes out another week of live Thoroughbred racing in Derby City.

The eighth race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $100,000 optional claiming, “two other than” allowance event for three-year-old fillies sprinting three-quarters of a mile on the main track.

Sheffer Racing, LLC’s Take Charge Angel, who has never been worse than second against allowance company, is the 2-1 morning line favorite in a field that has been scratched down to eight entrants. Veteran reinsman Corey Lanerie has the call on the three-year-old daughter of Will Take Charge for trainer Ben Colebrook.
