A 12-pack Thanksgiving Day smorgasbord will be served up at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. on Thursday, November 28.

The card has a pair of black type events on the table–the $300,000 Falls City Handicap (G2) for fillies and mares three-years-old and up to be run at a nine-furlong trip on the main track, and the $175,000 Cardinal Stakes (G3T) for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward slated for a nine-furlong trip on the Matt Winn Turf Course.

CJ Thoroughbreds, Left Turn Racing, LLC, and Casner Racing, LP’s Sally’s Curlin, winner of the Chilukki Stakes (G3) on on November 2, and Jay Em Ess Stables’ Go Google Yourself, who annexed the Locust Grove Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs on September 14, are the 3-1 co-favorites on the morning line in the Falls City Handicap (G2). Jockey Corey Lanerie has the call on Sally’s Curlin for trainer Dale Romans, while Brian Hernandez, Jr. will be astride Go Google Yourself for trainer Paul McGee.

giphyIn the Cardinal Stakes (G3T), Blue Heaven Farm’s Starship Jubilee, winner of the E. P. Taylor Stakes (G1T) at Woodbine in her last start, is the definitive 6-5 morning line favorite in a field that attracted a full field of 12 entrants. Jockey Luis Contreras will be in town for the riding assignment on the six-year-old bay daughter of Indy Wind for trainer Kevin Attard.

Top Picks Winning At A 25% Clip At The Tilt

Steam gave out one winner on Wednesday’s 10-race program at Churchill Downs and, as a result, has a 25 percent win clip with four days remaining at the 2019 fall meet in South Louisville. Additionally, Steam‘s top-pick selections have finished in the money 59 percent of the time at the stand.

Furthermore, on Thursday’s card, there is a $2,259 carryover in the $1 Super Hi-5 (race 12, 4:50 P.M. (Eastern) post).

Live racing will be conducted under the Twin Spires Wednesdays through Sundays through December 1 with a daily post time of 1:00 P.M. (Eastern). The lone exception is an 11:30 A.M. (Eastern) first post on Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 28.
