Grade One Clark Goes Through Tom’s d’Etat

The $600,000 Clark Stakes Presented by Norton Healthcare (G1) headlines an excellent 12-race “Black Friday” program at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. on November 29. The card also features the $300,000 Mrs. Revere Stakes (G2T).

G M B Racing’s Tom’s d’Etat–an open-length winner of the Hagyard Fayette Handicap (G2) in the slop at Keeneland on October 26–is the definitive 8-5 morning line favorite in the Clark Stakes (G1), a nine-furlong affair for three-year-olds and upward. Jockey Joel Rosario will be in town to ride the six-year-old bay son of Smart Strike for trainer Al Stall, Jr.

Klaravich Stables, Inc.’s New and Improved, winner of the Sands Point Stakes (G2T) at Belmont Park on October 12, is the 3-1 morning line favorite in the Mrs. Revere Stakes (G2T), a nine-furlong turf test for three-year-old fillies. Jockey Joel Rosario has the call on the gray daughter of Cairo Prince for trainer Chad Brown.

Steam Touts Two Winners On Turkey Day

Steam gave out two winners on Thursday’s 12-race Thanksgiving Day program at Churchill Downs and, as a result, has a 25 percent win clip with three days remaining at the 2019 Fall Meet in South Louisville. Additionally, Steam‘s top-pick selections have finished in the money 59 percent of the time at the stand.

Furthermore, on Friday’s card, there there is a $46,627 carryover in the 20-cent Single 6 Jackpot (races 7-12, 3:57 P.M. (Eastern) post), and a $7,504 carryover in the $1 Super Hi-5 (race 12, 6:24 P.M. (Eastern) post).

Live racing will be conducted under the Twin Spires Wednesdays through Sundays through December 1 with a daily post time of 1:00 P.M. (Eastern).
