Churchill Closes Out Meet With 12-Race Card
A 12-race program is on the agenda at Churchill Downs on Sunday, December 1–the final day of the 2019 Fall Meeting at the historic Louisville, Ky. racetrack.
The sixth race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $150,000 optional claiming, “four other than” allowance event for three-years-old and upward sprinting six-furlongs on the main track.
AJ Suited Racing Stables’ Do Share, an open-length winner of the Tom Fool Handicap (G3) at Aqueduct in March, is the 6-5 morning line favorite in a compact field of six. Jockey Corey Lanerie will be astride the six-year-old bay son of Candy Ride (Arg) for trainer Norm Casse.
Steam Has Hat Trick On Saturday’s Program
Steam touted three winners on Saturday’s 12-race “Stars of Tomorrow II” program at Churchill Downs and, as a result, has a 26 percent win clip heading into the final day of the 2019 Fall Meeting in South Louisville. Additionally, Steam‘s top-pick selections have finished in the money 60 percent of the time at the stand.
