Gulfstream Park jump starts a weekend of live Thoroughbred racing action in South Florida on Friday, December 6, as the Hallandale Beach racetrack plays host to a 10-race program.
The fourth race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $62,500 optional claiming, “two other than” allowance event for three-year-olds and upward sprinting five-furlongs on the turf.
Mary Eppler’s Oak Bluffs, a nine-year-old winner of 19 races lifetime, is the 2-1 morning line favorite in a field that attracted seven entrants. Jockey Paco Lopez has the call on the nine-year-old bay son of Defrere, who will break from post position six.
